Animal warrior art: knights, samurai and Vikings

These are animal warrior portraits in the manner of the old masters: a badger in a knight's helmet, a tiger samurai with his katana, a polar bear Viking king on his throne. The armour, weapons and clothing are historically accurate, from Roman legionaries and Spartan hoplites to Polish winged hussars and Japanese ashigaru, and the animals wear them with complete seriousness. That is what makes them funny.

An animal knight painting works as a bold centrepiece in a hallway, a home office or a study, and a pair or trio of warriors from different ages makes an unusual gallery wall. They are a favourite gift for history lovers, gamers and anyone with a dog or cat who clearly thinks they are royalty. Every print comes as a poster or framed, in sizes from 8×10″ up to 24×36″, printed on premium 189 gsm matte paper by our production partner in Europe or the US.
